The website actually scared me with the almost-blank front page the first time I went in! But then I learned that it's actually a good idea to keep things as simple as possible. I switched my gas and electricity and the whole affair was easy without any mess ups.

6 months later and they still havent managed to change over our gas... Why? Who knows? Unkept promises, hard to contact customer service and generally poor experience!

Very easy to switch to Scottish Power - they do all of the arrangements including telling your current supplier that you are switching. You are kept informed of progress the whole way through the process. One of the cheapest suppliers, they also offer discounts for monthly direct debit billing and online billing as well as having, for just a couple of quid extra a month, a price-capped service (until Oct 2007) which is worth taking advantage of given that fuel price rises show no sign of slowing down. Easy to keep a check on your account through the website. Highly recommended.
