| | | | | Alliance & Leicester have a great current account - it pays 5% interest (on the first 2.5k of your balance), has a free overdraft for a year, instant transfers to other A&L savings accounts (they used to have the best rates for both Cash ISAs and instant access accounts but check around as rates change all the time). The internet banking part of the website is easy to use, fast, works in multiple browsers, and has good security features (they tell YOU a password and code picture that you set up previously before you enter all your security details so you know it's really their site not a look-alike phishing site).
I've rated them 4* not 5* because their customer service phone number is expensive (0870) and they refuse to talk to you if you use their "international" number (i.e. a proper 01... UK number)(unless you hide your caller ID and tell them you're e.g. in Spain when you call and they ask) | |
