Catalogue shopping is great because you don't have to pay up front for any of the goods you order and get 14 days from delivery to return the items if you don't want them (not furniture and self assembly items thought). Setting up an account is really easy to do and imagine that they would accept anyone (as long as you aren't blacklisted). Ordering items are very easy, just browse through there many sections and simply press "add to basket" or something similar when you have seen something you want. Delivery is normally within 48 hours if you place the order before 10 in the morning. Returning items is pretty straight forward too, you just have to fill in the returns forms (very easy and basic) and ring the courier number on your paperwork. With Great Universal all deliveries and returns are free of charge. Catalogue prices are slightly dearer than the high street - i would say by around 10%, but after you have spent one hundred pounds you start earning commission on all your purchases , so that figure conteracts itself. As like normal shops, Great Universal also has sales and there are some super bargains to be had here. You can manage your account totally online (you will be sent paper bills through the post too though) , and you can pay using a switch card. This is really convient to do, as you can be sure you will never fall behind with your payments. You normally pay for your goods over 20 or 40 weeks but this can be extended but this will incur interest. I wouldn't recommend that as the interest rates are pretty steep. I have had an account with Great Universal for about 5 years and also with their sister company Kays. Also once you have an account with them you will be able to recommend a friend, once your friend has placed an order and paid for it you get a free gift. Its normally something like a blender or an iron, or you can opt for cash (i think its about 25 quid). All in all you can't lose with this site. If the item you have ordered is not what you want or doesn't fit, you just send it back (and at no charge to yourself). Finally you don't have to place you order online, you can use do it by telephone and by post. I have rarely had any problems with this catalogue company, but any i have had have been sorted just by making a quick call to their customer services. | |
